Nancy Doty, RG-CGC, OCPF leads our team in providing guardianship, conservatorship, and care coordination services. Her educational background in nursing, experience in hospital-based social work, and former position as a Deputy Public Guardian for Multnomah County combine to give her the most comprehensive preparation by a private guardian, conservator, and care coordinator. Nancy is an Oregon Certified Professional Fiduciary, and a registered guardian with the National Guardianship Foundation. She is a Founding Member of the Guardian/Conservator Association of Oregon, and has served on the Board over the intervening years. Her unique perspective on needs and resources for the frail, elderly, demented, and chronically mentally ill is the cornerstone upon which our program is built. Nancy's skills as a fiduciary and advocate are honed by many years of experience and expertise with difficult clients and controversial situations. Nancy’s additional community interests include assorted gardening projects, including her rose beds, vegetable garden, and cultivating native and natural plants that support the birds and wildlife, as well as issues of medical/cultural importance for women in developing countries.
Stefanie Young, RG-CGC, OCPF has spent many years in the field as a legal assistant and office manager. She now works part time, returning to us after a several year hiatus (Stefanie was our very first employee!). Certified as a Professional Fiduciary, Stefanie supports Nancy in managing our conservatorship clients. Her attention to detail is showcased in creating and keeping track of fee petitions, conservatorship accountings, bookkeeping, and other court-related data. Stefanie plays violin in a local community orchestra.
Barbara Morris handles the financial aspects of client accounts (accounting, inventories, etc.) as well as overseeing and maintaining the finances of our conservatorship accounts. She began in the Trust Division of First Interstate Bank of Oregon in 1973 and worked there for 21 years. While at First Interstate Bank, she managed conservatorships, estates, trusts, agencies, and worked with fiduciary taxes. Her extensive experience in the field makes her an invaluable asset to our company, and is of great benefit to our clients. Barbara is a strong member of the NE Portland community, and former President of the Soroptimist Club of Portland.
Jacob Davidson aids Nancy as her secondary "eyes and ears," as a Care Coordinator, providing services for our clients, arranging and attending medical and mental health appointments, coordinating care conferences and facilitating communication between clients, caregivers, and Nancy. Jake enjoys working on his house, traveling with his family and dog, and is the busy father of twin girls!
Stacy Perrou has spent many years in the administrative assistant/secretarial field. She manages all client files, handles a growing number of client bookkeeping accounts, writes and distributes the monthly newsletter and correspondence to clients, and is our office jill-of-all-trades. She is an Oregon native with an MFA in Poetry who loves writing, gardening, reading, and the ocean.
Emily Engdahl is the liaison between the private and public sectors, acting as a bridge to other professionals to coordinate client services, manage new referrals, and gather resources available to our clients. Emily provides resource and referral assistance to professionals throughout Oregon and is the care coordinator for our clients on the North Coast. Additionally, she served the Guardian/Conservator Association as President in 2005. Emily enjoys the outdoors, travel, green living, and is a voracious reader of all books.
Cari Painter assists the office as part-time support staff. Her background and education in the administrative assistance, bookkeeping, and legal fields have prepared her to have the necessary skills to jump in wherever she is needed. Cari was introduced to the Professional Fiduciary field in 2010 and her growing interest led her to become the on-going administrative assistant of the Guardian Conservation Association of Oregon in 2013. Cari is a very busy mother of 3 daughters. When she is not tied up in their personal, school, or church activities and functions she enjoys going to the gym, crafting, traveling, anything adventurous or new, and spending time with family and close friends. Or just a nap.
