Nancy Doty, RG-CGC,
leads our team in providing guardianship, conservatorship, and care coordination
services. Her educational background in nursing, experience in hospital-based
social work, and former position as a Deputy Public Guardian for Multnomah
County combine to give her the most comprehensive preparation by a private
guardian, conservator, and care coordinator. Nancy is a Certified Oregon
Professional Fiduciary, and a registered guardian with
the Center for Guardianship Certification (formerly the National Guardianship Foundation), and is a Founding Member and Past
President of the Guardian/Conservator Association of Oregon. Her unique
perspective on needs and resources for the frail, elderly, demented, and
chronically mentally ill is the cornerstone upon which our program is built.
Nancy's skills as a fiduciary and advocate are honed by over fifteen years of
experience and expertise with difficult clients and controversial situations.
Nancy’s additional community interests include the Women’s Care Foundation and
assorted gardening projects, including her rose beds, vegetable garden, and
cultivating native and natural plants that support the birds and wildlife. See
Nancy's resume here.
Emily Davidson, RG-CGC,
is the liaison between the private and public sectors, acting as a bridge to
other professionals to coordinate client services; managing public relations,
new referrals, and gathering resources available to our clients. Emily is a
Certified Oregon Professional Fiduciary, and a Registered Guardian with the
Center for Guardianship Certification (formerly the National Guardianship Foundation).
Emily served the Guardian/Conservator Association as President in 2005.
Emily holds a degree in Communications and an additional Certificate in Conflict
Management and Mediation from Marylhurst University, and is a member of the
Oregon Mediation Association and The Association for Conflict Resolution. Emily
enjoys the outdoors with her family, jewelry making, home improvement, and is a
voracious reader of all books. See Emily's resume here.
Barbara Morris
handles the financial aspects of client accounts (accounting, inventories, etc.)
as well as overseeing and maintaining the finances of our conservatorship
accounts. She began in the Trust Division of First Interstate Bank of Oregon in
1973 and worked there for 21 years. While at First Interstate Bank, she managed
conservatorships, estates, trusts, agencies, and worked with fiduciary taxes.
Her extensive experience in the field makes her an invaluable asset to our
company, and is of great benefit to our clients. Barbara is also a strong member
of the NE Portland school community, and was the 2004 President of Soroptimist
International of Portland. She also teaches an occasional aerobics class at the
community center.
Stefanie Young
has spent many years in the field as a legal assistant and office manager. She
now works part time, returning to us after a several year hiatus (Stefanie was
our very first employee!). Her skills are showcased in creating and keeping
track of fee petitions, conservatorship accountings, bookkeeping, and other
court-related data. Stefanie's two children keep her busy when she's not
in the office, and she enjoys traveling with her family (especially to Canada
and Disneyland!).
Jacob Davidson
aids Nancy as her secondary "eyes and ears," as a Care Coordinator, providing
services for our clients, arranging and attending medical and mental health
appointments, coordinating care conferences and facilitating communication
between clients, caregivers, and Nancy. Jake is a graphic design graduate, which
allows him to lead clients in creative and artful projects. Jake is the proud
owner of Toby, a new shepherd puppy mix, who keeps Jake on his toes!
Dina Stewart
returned to us (after several years as a full time mother to two) to part time
coordination of client files, burial plans and filing maintenance and audits.
She is the head of all client research projects, including data searches for
birth and death certificates, military papers, and court related information.
Dina keeps busy with her children, participating in soccer and other sports with
her daughter, and encouraging her son in musical and pet-rat related activities!
Dina has recently expanded her job duties to include bookkeeping for Medicaid
clients!
These changes represent
a growing staff selected to meet the needs of an expanded client base. We strive
to meet clients' needs in a sincere and flexible way, with respect for their
individuality and dignity.
In addition to client
needs, we hope to meet the needs of family members, referral systems, and other
individual professionals for whom we may ease the burden of difficult care
management.
Thank you for placing
your confidence in our efforts. We hope you will have every reason to continue
to allow us to serve you and our mutual clients and family members in the
future.
